Rebecca Soler(credited asJessica Paquet) is an American voice actress based in the New York City area. She has voiced on several audiobooks; her most notable voice work has been the narrator forThe Lunar Chroniclesseries byMarissa Meyer.[4]In anime, she voiced title character Miu Nomura inPiano: The Melody of a Young Girl's Heart,Reanne inOjamajo Doremiand Battia inOutlanders.In animation, she voiced inHuntik,Viva Piñata,andWinx Club.She has worked with4Kids Entertainment,NYAV Post,Media Blasters,Central Park MediaandDuArt Film & Video.On stage, she has participated in various theater projects, including a play calledBecoming Cuba.She is also a producer of a web series calledWith Friends Like These.

Biography

Soler grew up inBoston,and moved toSugar Land, Texaswhile in high school.[5]She attendedCarnegie-Mellon Universitywhere she graduated with a Bachelor's in theater.[1]

She got involved in voice-over for anime and animation works that were being dubbed in the New York area. She voiced lead characters inHuntik,Viva Piñata,Winx Club,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,PokémonandChaotic.[6][7]Soler began her voice acting as Joi Reynard fromTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.She voiced Miu Nomura, the title character inPiano: The Melody of a Young Girl's Heartwhich was produced by NYAV Post and Right Stuf.[8][9]She was selected in a fan casting contest poll held byCentral Park Mediato voice Battia in their dub of the 1986 animeOutlanders.[10][11][12]Soler joined theWinx Club4Kids dub cast, replacing Dani Schaffel in voicing the characterTecnafor season 3.[13]

She began working on audio books after her voice-over agent recommended her for a few projects.[14]She voiced in books byJudy Blume,James Patterson,andSarah Dessen,and received an AudioFile Earphones Award in 2009 for her narration of Amy Efaw's novelAfter.[15]Her narration of the Sarah Dessen'sLock and Keywas listed among 2009YALSAFabulous Films & Amazing Audiobooks for Young Adults.[16]In January 2011, her narration of Marissa Meyer's bookCinderwas released byMacMillan Audio.[17]

Soler continues to be active on-screen and in the theater. In 2014, she was involved in a live-action play calledBecoming Cubaby theHuntington Theatre Companywhere she played Martina.[1][18]She is executive producer of a web series calledWith Friends Like Thesewhich is written by and stars her husband.[14]In 2020, her daughter was born.
