Early life and career
editMayberry was born on December 22, 1925, inDuluth,Minnesota.He later moved toChicago, Illinois,after serving as a Navy aviator duringWorld War II.He was educated atNorthwestern University.
Throughout a career that started in 1947, Mayberry amassed a number of credits in television. Later career
editHe directedUnidentified Flying Oddball(1979) starringDennis DuganforWalt Disney Productions.He also directed a number of television films, includingSidney Shorr: A Girl's Best Friend.[1]
His last directorial credit was an episode of thePrime Time Entertainment NetworkseriesPointmanin 1995.
Personal life
editMayberry lived inLos Angeles, California,inEvergreen, Colorado,and inFort Collins, Colorado.He died on July 27, 2012, at Fort Collins Medical Center. He is survived by his wife Sandy, his two children, and his grandson and granddaughter.[2]
