Early life and personal life

Scott Andrew Evans was born September 21, 1983, and raised inSudbury, Massachusetts.[1]His parents are Bob Evans, adentist,and Lisa (née Capuano) Evans, adancer[4][5]and later artistic director at theConcord Youth Theatre.[6]He has two sisters, Carly and Shanna,[4]and an older brother, actorChris Evans.

Evans began acting as a child in local theater productions in Massachusetts.[7][8]He attended Lincoln-Sudbury High School.[9]

Scott Evans studied theatre atNew York Universitywhere he performed in "Mrs. Sharp" byRyan Scott Oliver& Kirsten Guenther, directed by Ryan Mekenian, and featuringAlex BrightmanandAli Stroker.[2][3][10]He is gay, havingcome outat age 19.[11]

Career

Evans began playing the recurring role of police officer Oliver Fish onOne Life to Liveon January 15, 2008.[12]He subsequently appeared briefly onGuiding Lightas Trey in 2008, and guest-starred as Woody Sage in the June 22, 2008Law and Order: Criminal Intentepisode "Betrayed"as well as the role of Ben in the October 21, 2008,Fringeepisode "The Cure."[2]Evans was also seen as Chad the Mail Clerk in the 2009 filmConfessions of a Shopaholic.

Initially brought in toOne Life to Livefor five episodes, Evans returned for a total of 137 episodes.[2]In July 2009, his character Oliver Fish became involved in a romantic relationship with Kyle Lewis. The storyline came to wider attention whenPatricia Mauceri,an actress who had played the recurring role ofCarlotta Vegaon theOne Life to Livesince 1995, was replaced after reportedly voicing personal religious objections to her character's involvement in his storyline.[13]The storyline onOne Life to Livewas dropped and both Scott and Brett were let go in 2010. Evans also had a guest role on theAMCseriesRubiconas an American involved in a serious terrorist attack withal-Qaeda.[14]

In 2022, Evans playedDarren Hayes' love interest in the music video for "Let's Try Being in Love".[15]In 2023, he played a Western-themedKeninBarbie.

In June 2024,Deadlineannounced that Evans had been cast inMindy Kaling's forthcoming seriesRunning Point.[16]
