Stephanie Faracyis an American actress. Life and career

Faracy was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, where she attended high school. She studied acting at Illinois Wesleyan University and Yale School of Drama.[1]She began her acting career in New York stage, and in 1976, made her television debut in an episode of ABC sitcomLaverne & Shirley.

She went to star in two unsold sitcom pilots, before playing Corinne in the 1978 comedy filmHeaven Can Wait.The following year, Faracy played Angel Childress in the filmWhen You Comin' Back, Red Ryder?,and Babbette in the comedy filmScavenger Hunt.[2]

Faracy has a long-running career on television. From 1979 to 1980, she starred in the CBS sitcomThe Last Resort.From 1983 to 1984, she co-starred alongsideBill BixbyandMariette HartleyinGoodnight, Beantown.Also during the 1980s, Faracy had roles on several miniseries, includeThe Thorn Birds(1983, as Mary Carson's servant, Judy),Space(1985), andWindmills of the Gods(1988).

In film, she co-starred alongsideBruce WillisandKim Basingerin the 1987 romantic comedy filmBlind Date,and the following year, she playedJohn Candy's wife in the comedy filmThe Great Outdoors.[3]

In 1990, Faracy starred alongsideMartin Mullin the sitcomHis & Hers.Later that year, she began starring in the Fox sitcomTrue Colorsabout an interracial marriage.[4]

The following years, Faracy continued her career, appearing in supporting roles in both film and television.
