Svitlovodsk Raionwas araion(district) ofKirovohrad Oblastin centralUkraine.The administrative center of the raion was the city ofSvitlovodsk,which is incorporated separately as acity of oblast significanceand did not belong to the raion. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kirovohrad Oblast to four. The area of Svitlovodsk Raion was merged intoOleksandriia Raion.[1][2]The last estimate of the raion population was11,397 (2020 est.).[3]

At the time of disestablishment, the raion consisted of onehromada,[4]Velyka Andrusivka rural hromadawith the administration in theseloofVelyka Andrusivka.
