Timothy D. Rose(born July 17, 1956)[1]is an American actor and puppeteer, best known for playingAdmiral Ackbarin theStar Warsseries. In addition, he puppeteered forSalacious B. Crumb,the court jester ofJabba the Hutt,inStar Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.

Career

Rose is best known for playing the role ofAdmiral Ackbarin the thirdStar Warsfilm,Return of the Jedi,a role which he played again inStar Wars: The Force AwakensandStar Wars: The Last Jedi.[2][3][4]In addition, Rose also puppeteered the characters ofSy Snootlesand Salacious Crumb inReturn of the Jedi,and has been involved with otherLucasfilmandThe Jim Henson Companyprojects, includingThe Dark CrystalandHoward the Duck.
He also helped in puppeteering the character ofTik-TokinWalt Disney Pictures'Return to Oz.
Rose also made the puppets Cosmo and Dibs for the BBC children's seriesYou and Me.They debuted on that show in 1983. He also did assistant puppetry for Barnaby Bear onBecky and Barnaby Bear.
