Tomer DevorahorThe Palm Tree of Deborah(Hebrew:תומר דבורה) was written in Hebrew in the middle of the 16th century byMoses ben Jacob Cordovero,aJewishkabbalistinSafed,Ottoman Syria.[1]This short text deals mostly with theImitation of Godthrough the acquisition of divine traits, especially those of thesephirot.[2]The first edition was published inVenicein 1588.[1]Although not widely read among Jews today, it is popular in themusar movement,which focuses on the individual cultivation of theThirteen Attributes of Mercyof God.
