Club career
editIn 1992 Rukavina started his football career in his hometown of Osijek, before moving toNK Zagrebduring his second season. After 57 appearances for NK Zagreb, he was transferred toDinamo(then called Croatia Zagreb), where he won fournational championships.[1]He played four seasons in Italy forS.S.C. Veneziabefore returning to his homeland and finishing his career atHajduk Split.He won the HNL seven times and the Croatian cup three times.
International career
editRukavina made his international debut for theCroatia national teamagainst Poland in the 2–1friendlywin atRijekaon 28 February 1996. He made five appearances for Croatia. His final international was a November 1999 friendly away againstFrance.[2]
Managerial career
editRukavina became first team coach atDinamoin March 2009., after arriving ofKrunoslav Jurčić.He took charge ofNK Osijekin March 2014.[3]He became a youth coach at Dinamo in June 2017.[4]
