The station consists of one ground-levelisland platformserving a two tracks, connected to the station building by an underground passage. The station has aMidori no Madoguchistaffed ticket office.[1]

History

Toyoshina Station opened on 6 January 1915. With the privatization ofJapanese National Railways(JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East. The station building was remodelled in 2007.[1]

In fiscal 2015, the station was used by an average of 940 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[2]
