William Davidson (sailor)

William Phythian Davidson(1876 – 15 April 1939) was a Britishsailingcompetitor at the1908 Summer Olympics.[1][2][3]

He was a crew member on theMouchettewhich finished second of two teams competing in the12 metre class.[4][5]At the time, only thehelmsmanand mate were awarded silver medals, while the crew received bronze medals.[4]However, Davidson is credited as having received a silver medal in the official Olympic database.[1][6]
