Zuleikha Robinson was born inLondon,England, and brought up inThailand,SingaporeandMalaysiaby an Indian-Burmese mother and anEnglishfather. She is also of Scottish, Burmese, Indian,Malay,and Iranian descent.[1][2][3][4]

She is a graduate of theAmerican Academy of Dramatic ArtsinLos Angeles.

Robinson made her film debut in the 2000 experimental filmTimecode.She gained attention on the 2001 seriesThe Lone Gunmen,part ofThe X-Filesfranchise.She played Yves Adele Harlow, a mysterious thief who often aided (and sometimes hindered) the starring trio.

Robinson's first lead role brought her toMorocco,playing a 19th-century Arabian princess named Jazira, oppositeViggo MortensenandOmar Sharif,in Disney's $80 million Western epicHidalgo(2004), directed byJoe Johnston.The film tells the story of long-distance endurance horse rider,Frank Hopkins.[1][4]In 2006, she played aBengalicharacter called Moushumi Mazumdar inMira Nair's acclaimed filmThe Namesake,based on thebook of the same name.

In 2007, Robinson had a supporting role in theHBOseriesRome,and the following year played Eva Marquez, aNYPDdetective, in theFoxpolice dramaNew Amsterdam.Robinson joined the cast ofLostin 2009 during itsfifth season,as recurring characterIlana Verdansky,[5]and was promoted to series regular for thesixth season.In 2012, she was cast in the second season ofHomelandin a recurring role as Roya Hammad. Robinson also played a supporting role in the drama thriller filmThe Boy.[6]

In 2014, Robinson was cast inIntelligenceas Amelia Hayes, Gabriel's wife and a formerCIAfield officer.
