Echateresare large herbivorous mammals with tusks, pointed hooves, and large antlers. Found mainly inWrothgar,they serve theOrcsas livestock and beasts of burden. They provide meat, fur, vellum, and milk for the Orcs. Echateres are stubborn and ornery.

Elephants are a type of large animal known for toughness. They are the namesake of the "Cuirass of the Elephant", a type of fur armor enchanted withweaponresistance that was found inCyrodiil.[1]

Elk are a species of large, ungulate mammals found in parts ofSkyrimandWrothgar.Like otherdeer,they are very skittish and will quickly flee from potential danger. The elks ofFourth EraSkyrim are known for their distinctly large antlers.[2]CertainReachfolkclans worship sacred elkspirits.[3]Sacred elk leather was used to craft armor pieces considered true Reach masterpieces.[4]TheDaedric PrinceHircineis often depicted with the head or skull of an elk, whichKhajiitimyths say belonged toY'ffer's champion, theGraht-Elk.[5]

Elytra[edit]

Elytraare largemantis-like arthropods indigenous to theShivering Isles.Like many of the native creatures of the realm, there are color differences between the Elytra ofManiaandDementia,but they are otherwise identical. They are found in high concentrations inroot tunnel systems,but inhabit areas throughout the entire Isles. They were also found withinSolitude's sewers, where a root tunnel system manifested as a result ofSheogorath's influence, and amadman'sexperiments with theSword of Jyggalag.Some Elytra were smuggled out into the rest ofSkyrimin hopes that they could be sold for a significant profit. Some Elytra secrete a glowing green substance known asFelldew,prized as a powerful, addictive drug.

Emperor Crabsare gigantic semi-aquaticcrabswho were once native to theAshlandsofVvardenfell,contemporary with the early settledChimer.The species died out long before3E 427.They are described as being as large as cathedrals and some naturalists believe they are related to themudcrab.One source claims that they devolved into the modern mudcrab after abandoning divine pursuits in favor of mundane satisfactions.
