TheExtended Common Object File Format(ECOFF) is afile formatforexecutables,object code,andshared libraries,extended from theCOFFspecification.
ECOFF was developed for the MIPS platform, and was used byDECUltrixandTru64(previously Digital Unix and OSF/1),SGIIrix,Linux/MIPSand theNet Yaroze.[1]
