Holmes(formerlyHolmes Camp,and also known as Holmes Flat) is anunincorporated communityinHumboldt County,California.[1]It is located 2.25 miles (3.6 km) north ofRedcrest,[2]at an elevation of 154 feet (47 m).[1]
A post office operated at Holmes from 1910 to 1965.[2]Holmes was named for a lumber company executive.[2]
