Protein-coding gene in the species Homo sapiens
Potassium channel, subfamily U, member 1 ,also known asKCNU1 ,is agene encoding theKCa 5.1 protein .[ 4]
Although this channel is structurally related to thecalcium-activated potassium channels ,it cannot be classified as such since it is activated by highintracellular pH and relatively insensitive to changes in calcium concentrations.[ 5] [ 6] [ 7]
