[edit]Higgins earned a degree in music fromAuburn Universityin 1991.[1]She is a trained pianist who studied with the jazz artist Bob Richardson. She released the first jazz album by her own nameThe Tide is Lowin 2002. The second jazz album isStealing Freedom.She is also in a band called Upper Structure.[2]
Voice acting career
[edit]Higgins first worked oncommercialswith singing after graduating, then landed a small voice-acting job as a singing cartoon squirrel. She was then approached to be a voice-over actress to dobumpersfor theDisney Channelin 1998.[3]Since then Higgins's major voice roles have been in English-language adaptations of Japanese anime, and she is best known as the voice ofSakura HarunoinNarutoand Talho Yuuki inEureka 7.She has also voicedCCinCode GeassandSaberin the originalFate/stay night.Between 2010 and 2013, Higgins voicedTailsin the video game seriesSonic the Hedgehog.[4]In 2014, Higgins was cast asAmi Mizuno / Sailor Mercuryin the Viz English dub ofSailor Moon.She is the current voice ofPrincess Aurorasince 2010, aDisney Princesscharacter originally seen inWalt Disney’sSleeping Beauty.She also played the voice ofFrankie SteininMonster Highand Briar Beauty inEver After High.She also starred asBarbieinBarbie: Life in the Dreamhousein 2012.
