LBX1
Appearance
Transcription factor LBX1is aproteinthat in humans is encoded by theLBX1gene.[5][6]
This gene and the orthologous mouse gene were found by theirhomologyto theDrosophilalady bird early and latehomeoboxgenes.
In the mouse, this gene is a key regulator of muscle precursorcell migrationand is required for the acquisition of dorsal identities of forelimb muscles.[6]
