TheDemocratic Party(Korean:민주당;Hanja:Dân chủ đảng;RR:Minjudang) was acentristpolitical party inSouth Koreaestablished on September 21, 2014. The party had one representative in the 19thNational Assembly,Shin Ki-nam,formerly a member of theMinjoo Party of Korea.[1]The party lost its seat in the2016 legislative election.In October 19, 2016, the party officially merged with theDemocratic Party of Korea.
