Mordechai"Moti"Haimis a former Israeli footballer, musician and actor who played forMaccabi JaffaandMaccabee Los Angeles.[2]
Early life
[edit]Haim was born in 1954. He grew up onJerusalem BoulevardinJaffa, Israel.He started playing forMaccabi Jaffa's youth team at the age of 10.[3]
Career
[edit]Haim started playing for Maccabi Jaffa's senior team and became a regular player. Highlights of his career include playing in theUEFA Intertoto Cupin 1977.[3]
He completed military service with theIsrael Defense Forces,where he was adrummerin an IDF band. He later joined the famous'Tzadikov Choir'as a drummer, performing alongsideOshik Levi.[3]After this, Haim moved toMaccabee Los Angeles,which was at that time a semi-professional team. After two years in LA, he returned to Israel and again played forMaccabi Jaffa.[3]
Haim relocated to the United States permanently in 1980.[4]
Haim was a member of a band, Rockinhaim, with his wife Donna and their three daughters. Their three daughters went on to form the bandHaim.The couple later went into real estate together in Los Angeles.[5]
In 2021, he made his acting debut inPaul Thomas Anderson'sLicorice Pizza,where he played the father of Alana, played by his own daughterAlana Haim.[6]

Personal life
[edit]He is the father ofEste Haim(b. 1986),Danielle Haim(b. 1989), andAlana Haim(b. 1991), who went on to form the Los Angeles-based pop rock bandHaim.[7]His maternal family is ofBulgarian-Jewishdescent.[8]
