NGC 1970(also known asESO 56-SC127) is a brightopen clusterandemission nebulain theDorado constellationin theLarge Magellanic Cloud.It was discovered byJohn Herschelon January 31, 1835.[3]Its apparent size is 8.0.[4]It is commonly known as theTulip Nebula.[5]
