NGC 821is anelliptical galaxyin theconstellation Aries.It is estimated to be about 80 millionlight-yearsfrom theMilky Way[3]and has adiameterof approximately 55,000 light years. NGC 821 was discovered on September 4, 1786, byastronomerWilhelm Herschel.[4][5][6]
