Savar(Bengali:সাভার) is a city in centralBangladesh,located in theDhaka Districtin thedivision of Dhaka.It is the closest city fromDhaka.It is also a part of theGreater Dhakaconurbation which forms theDhaka megacity.About 380,000 people live here which makes this city the second most populous in the district and the13th largestin Bangladesh.
