TheScottish County Football Leaguewas one of severalsupplementary football leaguesthat were created in the early days of competitivefootballin Scotland in order to increase the number of fixtures forScottish Football Leagueclubs.[1]
The only season in which the competition took place is in1899–1900,and the member clubs includedAbercorn,Ayrthe Champions,Raith Rovers,Hamilton Academical,MotherwellandEast Stirlingshire.
Two fixtures were held over until1900–01and both doubled up asScottish Leaguefixtures.
