Tali Golergant(Hebrew:טלי גולרגנט;born 26 November 2000),[1]knownmononymouslyasTali(stylized inall caps), is anIsraeli-bornLuxembourgishsinger, songwriter, actress and vocal coach. Sherepresented Luxembourgin theEurovision Song Contest 2024with the song "Fighter".[2]

Early and personal life

Golergant was born in Israel to aPeruvian Jewishfather and an Israeli mother. Following her father's work in banking,[3]she moved with her family, when she was only 6 months old, across Chile, Argentina and other countries, until finally settling inLimpertsberg,Luxembourg, where she resided for ten years.[1][4]She began playing the piano at the age of 7, and began singing, songwriting and acting in theatre at the age of 12.[5]She was educated at theInternational School of Luxembourg,before moving toNew York Cityto study musical theatre atMarymount Manhattan College.[6]She lives there as of January 2024.[7]

Golergant is fluent inHebrew,Spanish,FrenchandEnglishand is able to communicate inGermanand understandLuxembourgish.[8][9][10]

Career

Golergant released her debut single at the age of 16, followed in 2021 by her debut EPLose You.Along with her own band, she toured local New York venues includingRockwood Music Hall,Mercury Lounge,Arlene's Grocery,andDelancey Street.Golergant has been a featured vocalist on other works, including "Carry Me Home" with Max Bartos.[11]In addition, Golergant pursued a career as a stage actress, portraying Tzeitel inFiddler on the Roof,Sue SnellinCarrie,andÉponineinLes Misérables,among others; she has also starred in the independent short filmAgua.[7][12][13]

In December 2023, Golergant was revealed as one of the eight finalists of theLuxembourg Song Contest,the national selection for theEurovision Song Contest 2024.[14]It was later revealed on 9 January 2024 that she would perform the song "Fighter".[15]She went on to win the selection, earning the right to be the first representative for the country at the contest since 1993;[13]she qualified from the semi-final on 7 May 2024[16]and ultimately finished 13th in the final of 11 May.
