Teresva(Ukrainian:Тересва,German:Theresiental,Romanian:Teresva,Hungarian:Taracköz,Slovak:Terešva) is arural settlementinTiachiv Raion(district) ofZakarpattia Oblast(region) in westernUkraine.[2]It is situated at the confluence of the riversTiszaandTeresva.The town's population was 7,554 at the2001 Ukrainian Census.[2]Current population is7,480 (2022 estimate)[3].

History

Until 26 January 2024, Teresva was designatedurban-type settlement.On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Teresva became a rural settlement.[4]

In 2023 the rail line between Teresva and Romania reopened.[5]
