Tom Raftery(born 15 August 1933) is an Irish formerFine Gaelpolitician and university professor.[1]He was elected to theEuropean Parliamentat the1984 European electionfor theMunster constituency.He lost his seat at the1989 European electionbut was elected to theSeanadat the 1989 Seanad election for theAdministrative Panel.[1]He failed to retain his Seanad seat at the 1992 election. He stood unsuccessfully in the Munster constituency at the1994 European election.[2]
