Ōtaguchi Station(Đại điền khẩu dịch,Ōtaguchi-eki)is a passengerrailway stationlocated in the town ofŌtoyo,Nagaoka District,Kōchi Prefecture,Japan. It is operated byJR Shikokuand has the station number "D30".[1][2]

[edit]The station is served by JR Shikoku'sDosan Lineand is located 80.4 km from the beginning of the line atTadotsu.[3][4]
Layout
[edit]The station consists of anisland platformserving two tracks. By the side of the tracks, a station building serves as a waiting room. Access to the island platform is by means of a level crossing.[1][5]A passing siding runs between the station building and the island platform.[6]The station is unstaffed but a shop nearby sells some types of tickets.[7]

History
[edit]The station opened on 28 October 1934 when the then Kōchi Line was extended northwards fromŌsugitoToyonaga.At this time the station was operated byJapanese Government Railways,later becomingJapanese National Railways(JNR). With the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987, control of the station passed to JR Shikoku.[3][8]
