The156th Street stationwas a local station on the demolishedIRT Third Avenue Lineinthe Bronx,New York City.It was originally opened on July 1, 1887, by theSuburban Rapid Transit Company,and had three tracks and twoside platforms.The next stop to the north was161st Street.The next stop to the south was149th Street.The station closed on April 29, 1973.
