The1950 Idaho gubernatorial electionwas held on November 7 to elect the nextgovernor of Idaho,alongsideelectionsto theUnited States Senate,electionsto theU.S. House,and other state and local elections.[1][2][3]

Idahochanged the term for governor from two to four years starting with the1946election, and the incumbent was not allowed to run for a second term (self-succession) until1958.Republican nomineeLeonard B. Jordandefeated Democratic nomineeCalvin E. Wrightwith 52.56% of the vote.
