A senatorial election was held on November 12, 1963 in thePhilippines.The 1963 elections were known as a midterm election as the date when the elected officials take office falls halfway throughPresidentDiosdado Macapagal's four-year term.

TheLiberal Partywon control of the chamber after having ten seats out of the 24-memberSenate,as the 2-member Grand Alliance (the oldProgressive Party) were caucusing with them, plusAlejandro Almendrasof the Nacionalistas who personally supported Senate PresidentFerdinand Marcos.

TheNacionalista Partyand theLiberal Partyeach won four seats.

NacionalistasArturo TolentinoandGil Puyat,and LiberalAmbrosio Padillaall defended their seats.

Five winners are neophyte senators. These areJuan Liwag,Gerardo RoxasandTecla San Andres Zigaof the Liberal Party, and the Nacionalistas'José W. DioknoandRodolfo Ganzon.

Incumbent Nacionalista senatorsEulogio Balao,Roseller T. LimandCipriano Primcias Sr.,andRogelio de la Rosaof the Liberal Party all lost.
