The1996 Indian general electionwere held to elect 20 members to theeleventh Lok SabhafromKerala.[1]BothIndian National Congress (INC)-ledUnited Democratic Front (UDF)andLeft Democratic Front (LDF),led byCommunist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M))won 10 seats each.[2]Turnout for the election was at 70.66%[3]
