The 1st parallel south forms most ofTanzania's northern border withUganda,and a short section of its border withKenya.

The1st parallel southis acircle of latitudethat is 1degree(69.2 miles/111.36 kilometers)southof theEarth'sequatorial plane.It crosses theAtlantic Ocean,Africa,theIndian Ocean,Southeast Asia,Australasia,thePacific OceanandSouth America.

The parallel defines most of the border betweenUgandaandTanzania,and a very short section of the border betweenKenyaandTanzania.[1]
