The2016 Delaware Senate electionwas held on November 8, 2016 to elect 11 of the 21 members toDelaware'sSenate.The election coincided with theelectionsfor other offices, including thePresidency,U.S. House of Representatives,andstate house.Theprimary electionwas held on September 13, 2016.[1]
Delaware Republicans needed to have a net gain of 2 seats to flip the chamber from the Democrats, however, they gained only 1 seat (winning 10 seats compared to 11 seats for the Democrats).
