The2021–22 seasonwasA.S. Roma's 95th season in existence and the club's 70th consecutive season in the top flight ofItalian football.In addition to thedomestic league,Roma participated in this season's editions of theCoppa Italiaand the inaugural edition of theUEFA Europa Conference League,winning the latter tournament for the club's first major trophy since the2007–08 Coppa Italia.[1]
The season began withJosé Mourinhoat the helm after Roma announced last season thatPaulo Fonsecawould step down.[2]
