The2024 K League 2,also known as theHana 1Q K League 2for sponsorship reasons, is the 12th season of the second division of professionalfootballin South Korea since its establishment in 2013 as theK LeagueChallenge and the seventh season under its current name, theK League 2.

Promotion play-offs

The fourth and fifth-placed teams in the league play against each other in a one-legged tie, played at the home stadium of the fourth-placed team. The winners of this match play against the third-placed team in the second round of the K League 2 play-offs. The winners of the second round, and the league runners-up, play against the tenth and eleventh-placed teams of theK League 1,respectively, in the promotion play-offs. Each of the promotion play-offs is atwo-legged tie,with the winners securing the final spots in K League 1 for the 2025 season.[4]
