Adriano Giannini(born 10 May 1971) is an Italian actor and voice actor.[1]
Biography
[edit]Adriano Giannini was born in Rome on 10 May 1971, to actorsGiancarlo GianniniandLivia Giampalmo.He began his career when he was 18 years old.[2]His earliest notable role was alongsideMadonnain the widely panned 2002 filmSwept Away,a remake of the 1974 Italian filmof the same name.Giannini played the same role that his father played in the original, also re-dubbing his own character's lines for the Italian and Spanish edition.[3]
Giannini's international roles include the voice of Rat in the 2003 animated filmSinbad: Legend of the Seven Seasand Giancarlo Rossi in the 2012 ABC television seriesMissing,starringAshley JuddandSean Bean.In 2024 he played Tommaso,Rocco Siffredi's half-brother, in theNetflixseriesSupersex.
As a voice dubber, Giannini dubbed the voice ofHeath Ledger's portrayal of theJokerin the Italian release ofThe Dark Knight.He also dubbedJoaquin Phoenix's incarnation of the character inJokerandJoker: Folie à Deux.[4]He has provided the Italian voices ofChristian Bale,Tom Hardy,Raz Degan,Benicio del Toro,Steven Strait,Ryan ReynoldsandLaz Alonsoin some of their work.[5]In his animated roles, he dubbed Metro Man inMegamindand Mandrake inEpic.
Personal life
[edit]In 2019, Giannini marriedTrussardicreative director Gaia Trussardi after two years of dating.[6]Giannini had an older brother, Lorenzo, who died from ananeurysmat the age of 21. He also has two younger half-brothers from his father's marriage to actress Eurilla del Bono.
