TheAfghanistan cricket teamtoured Sri Lanka in November 2022 to play threeOne Day International(ODI) matches.[1]These matches formed part of the inaugural2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.[2]All three matches were played atthe Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.[3]Sri Lanka recovered from losing the first match,[4]and the second encounter ending with no result due to rain,[5]to level the series in the third game.[6]
Squads
[edit]Before the start of the series,Bhanuka Rajapaksawithdrew from the Sri Lanka squad, stating that he wished to take a break from the 50-over format.[9][10]Pramod Madushanwas also ruled out of Sri Lanka's squad due to injury;Nuwanidu FernandoandMilan Rathnayakerespectively were named as replacements.[11]
