Aisha Brownis a Canadian stand-up comedian and actress.[1]She is most noted for her 2020 comedy specialAisha Brown: The First Black Woman Ever,which was the firstCrave Originalcomedy special ever taped by aBlack Canadiancomedian.[1]
The special received threeCanadian Screen Awardnominations at the9th Canadian Screen Awardsin 2021, including Best Variety or Entertainment Special and Best Writing in a Variety or Sketch Comedy Program or Series.[2]She also received a second nomination in the latter category as a member of the writing team forThis Hour Has 22 Minutes.[2]
As an actress, she has appeared in sketches onThe BeavertonandBaroness von Sketch Show,and in the comedy seriesHumour Resources.
