Alan Blumenfeld(born September 4, 1952) is an Americancharacter actor,best known for his role inNBC'sTV seriesHeroesasMaury Parkman,thetelepathfather ofMatt Parkmanplayed byGreg Grunberg,and as Bob Buss in thetelefilm2gether.He has played Greg Grunberg's father in bothFelicityandHeroes.

Life and career

Blumenfeld has been acting since the age of 7 in hisfirst grade,[1]and has appeared in prime time television shows such asGrey's Anatomy,JAG,Gilmore Girls,CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,Without a Trace,andJudging Amy.He has also appeared in movies, includingThe Ring,In Her Shoes,andFriday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives.He was also the voice of Glottis and Boyd Cooper on the cult video-gamesGrim FandangoandPsychonautsrespectively.

Blumenfeld currently lives inLos Angelesand is still active intheater,film, voice and television acting.[2]He also teaches acting atPomona CollegeinClaremont, CA.[3][4]
