Alastaro(Finnish pronunciation:[ˈɑlɑstɑro]) is aformer municipalityofFinland.It was merged into the town ofLoimaaon 1 January 2009.
Alastaro is located in theprovinceofSouthern Finlandand is part of theSouthwest Finlandregion.The municipality had a population of 2,910 (31 December 2008) and covered an area of 258.12 km2(99.66 sq mi) of which 1.32 km² is water. Thepopulation densitywas 11.33 inhabitants per km².
The municipality was unilinguallyFinnish.
TheAlastaro Circuitopened in 1990.
