Alisa Lepselter(born 1963) is an Americanfilm editorwho has edited directorWoody Allen's films since 1999.

Life and career

Lepselter received a bachelor's degree fromDuke Universityin 1985 with a major in art history.[1]Lepselter began her editing career as an intern with editorCraig McKayonSomething Wild(directed byJonathan Demme-1986). She was an apprentice with editorBarry MalkinonFrancis Ford Coppola's segment ofNew York Stories(1989). She wasThelma Schoonmaker's assistant editor onMartin Scorsese's adaptation ofThe Age of Innocence(1993), and wasRobert M. Reitano's assistant on three films associated withNora Ephron(My Blue Heaven(1990),This is My Life(1992), andMixed Nuts(1994)).[2][3]

Lepselter's first editing credit was forNicole Holofcener'sWalking and Talking(1996), which was also Holofcener's first film as a director. SinceSweet and Lowdown(1999), she has edited all ofWoody Allen's films; she succeededSusan E. Morse,who edited Allen's films for the previous 20 years.

Lepselter was nominated for anAmerican Cinema Editors "Eddie" AwardforVicky Cristina Barcelona(2008) and again forMidnight in Paris(2011).
