Ann Shirley MuirQSM(born 24 July 1946)[2]is a New Zealand internationallawn bowlsplayer and administrator.[3]

Bowls career[edit]

Muir won a fours bronze medal at theAsia Pacific Bowls Championships.[4]

Muir competed at the1994 Commonwealth Gamesin thewomen's fours,where she won the bronze medal along with her teammatesAdrienne Lambert,Colleen FerrickandMarlene Castle.[5]

Muir won the 2013/14 pairs title and the 2005 fours title at theNew Zealand National Bowls Championshipswhen bowling for the Kensington Bowls Club.[6]

Honours[edit]

A former president of Bowls New Zealand, and Bowls New Zealand Coach of the Year in 2016, Muir was awarded theQueen's Service Medal,for services to bowls and the community, in the2017 Queen's Birthday Honours.[7]
