Anne Parillaud(French pronunciation:[anpaʁijo];born 6 May 1960) is a French actress who has been active since 1977. She is best known internationally for playing the title character inLuc Besson's filmLa Femme Nikita.[1]
Biography[edit]
Parillaud was born in Paris. While in school, she studied ballet but began her film career at 16 inMichel Lang'sL'hôtel de la plage(1978).
She starred inLuc Besson'sLa Femme Nikita(1990).[2][3]
AfterLa Femme Nikita,Parillaud left France to star in three films abroad:Map of the Human Heart,Innocent Blood,andFrankie Starlight.
In 2010 she starred in the French psychological thrillerIn Their Sleep[4]which was directed by Caroline du Potet and Eric du Potet.[5]
Personal life[edit]
Parillaud's first husband wasLuc Besson,with whom she has a daughter, Juliette Besson, born in 1987. She became an actress.[6]
In 2005, Parillaud marriedJean Michel Jarre.They divorced in 2010.[7][8]
