Ant Broads and Marshesis a 745.3-hectare (1,842-acre) biologicalSite of Special Scientific Interestnorth-east ofNorwichinNorfolk.[1][2]Most of it is aNature Conservation Reviewsite, Grade 1,[3]and it is part of the BroadlandRamsar[4]andSpecial Protection Area,[5]and The BroadsSpecial Area of Conservation.[6]Part of it is theBarton Broadnature reserve, which is managed by theNorfolk Wildlife Trust,[7]and two areas areNational Nature Reserves.[8][9]

This site in the valley of theRiver Antis described byNatural Englandas the "finest example of unpolluted valley fen in Western Europe". It has a network of dykes that support a diverse variety of aquatic plants, and its fenland invertebrate fauna is of national importance.[10]
