Athletes in Action(AIA) is an American sports organization founded in 1966. It is the sports ministry ofCruMinistries, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ.

Athletes in Action was started in 1966 by Dave Hannah.[1]
Participation in international tournaments[edit]
The core of theUnited States national basketball teamthat participated at the1978 FIBA World Championshipwas composed by players from Athletes in Action.[2]Athletes in Action has also participated at theWilliam Jones Cup,an international basketball tournament held inTaiwanwhich featured both national teams and club sides. The Eastern Unit of the AIA won the1977 editionbesting second placers, theEastern Washington Eaglesand third placers Flying Camel of Taiwan.[3]AIA also won the 2006 edition with theChinese TaipeiandQatar national basketball teamsfinishing second and third respectively.[4]
