Aviation Boulevardis a major north–south thoroughfare in western and theSouth Bayregion ofLos Angeles County, California.

Route Description[edit]

Aviation Boulevard runs for 7.1 miles (11.4 km), starting nearWestchester,and through the beach cities ofEl Segundo,Manhattan BeachandHermosa Beach,where its southern terminus is atPacific Coast Highway.It lies adjacent toLos Angeles International Airport,[1]and forms part of the boundary between North Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach. The formerAviation High Schoolwas located at the intersection of Aviation Boulevard andManhattan Beach Boulevard.Aviation Boulevard also intersects withCentury Boulevard,[2]El Segundo Boulevard,Imperial Highway,Rosecrans Boulevard, andArtesia Boulevard.[3][4]

The northern end is a continuation ofFlorence AvenueatManchester AvenueinInglewood.

Bus routes on Aviation Boulevard includeSanta Monica Transitlines 3 andRapid3,Culver City Transitlines 6 andRapid6,Beach Cities Transitline 109, andTorrance Transitline 8. TheMetro C Lineoperates a station underInterstate 105.
