TheBall Rangeis amountain rangeon theContinental Dividebetween Vermilion Pass and Red Earth Pass inKootenay National Park,Canada.[5]The range is named afterJohn Ball,[6]a politician who helped secure funding for thePalliser expedition.
It extends over 465 km2(180 sq mi), and measures 35 km (22 mi) from North to South and 26 km (16 mi) from East to West.[3]
