Bangon Pilipinas Party(BPP,lit.'"Rise Up Philippines Party"') orBangonis a political party in thePhilippines,formed in 2004 as theBangon Pilipinas Movement.It is the political vehicle of its leader,televangelistEddie Villanueva.Villanueva ran for president in2004and2010[1]but lost in both elections.[2]The party put up a senatorial slate for the 2010 elections, but none of its candidates won.[3]

Villanueva's son, Eduardo "Jon-Jon" Villanueva, Jr., was the highest-ranking elected official of the party, serving as mayor ofBocaue, Bulacan;he ran as theLiberal Party's candidate for mayor in the2013 electionsand won.

In the2016 Senate election,the party endorsed another Villanueva son, thenTESDADirector GeneralJoel Villanueva.[4]He won the second-highest number of votes in that election.
