TheBehler Seeis a lake in theHolstein Switzerlandregion ofNorth Germany.It lies betweenTimmdorf(municipality ofMalente) to the east and the town ofPlönto the west. To the east it transitions into theLangensee,to the west into theHöftsee.

All these lakes are crossed from east to west by theRiver Schwentine. The Behler See is named after the village ofBehlin the municipality ofGrebin,which lies to the north.

It has an area of 277 hectares (680 acres), is up to 43 metres deep and its surface elevation is about22 m abovesea level (NN).
