Gijsbert (Bert) Bos(born 1963[1]) is a Dutch computer scientist known for the development ofArgo,aweb browserhe developed as test application for hisstyle sheetproposal.

Life and work

Born inThe Hague,Bos studiedmathematicsat theUniversity of Groningen,and wrote his PhDthesisonRapid user interface development with the script language Gist.[1]

In 1996, he joined theWorld Wide Web Consortium(W3C) to work onCascading Style Sheets(CSS). He is a former chairman and the current W3C Staff Contact of theCSS Working Group.[2]He is based inSophia Antipolis,France.
